Today marks My 5 Year Anniversary of #BriskWalk-ing. I Love sharing my journey with You all & hope it helps someone. Since August 26th, 2014, I’ve walked 7,606 miles. For a total of 1,556 Walks. I Lost 100 pounds then gained 20 back after 2 breast surgeries in 2017. #Botched only showed 1 surgery. I Actually had to have 2 surgeries (that were just 6 weeks apart) due to complications after the 1st surgery. Having the 2nd surgery REALLY fucked with my mental. Depression kicked in again & I gained yet another 25+ pounds from binge eating & wine.
5 weeks ago I finally got back on track with eating healthier & only drinking wine on the weekends. (spoken like a true wino lol) I am now in the low 230s. I know I look smaller but trust a Ninja is a solid 230!
In the last 10 months, I lost 3 people I Love due to health related issues, All were preventable. Their passing has reminded me that WE only get one Life & WE must make the most of the time we do have. If YOU are dealing with any health related issues PLEASE go to the doctor & find out what is going on, It could save YOUR Life!
These past 5 Years, no matter what was going on I Still made certain to #Walk at least 5x a week. about 4+ miles a night. It really has helped me physically & mentally. It’s My #MeTime & I plan on #BriskWalking for the rest of my life!
If your someone who needs to get back active start with simply walking 30 minutes a day. I Promise it will change your life for the better!
